The American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) is a non-profit institution present in the Brazilian market since 1919. In more than 100 years of history, it has sought to develop the market in various fronts and currently has branches in 16 cities across the country.

Not neglecting its American roots and the development of bilateral business, it has evolved over the years and now has companies in its membership base that, together, represent 1/3 of the Brazilian GDP. These members use the Chamber for strategic connections with executives and companies, whether for commercial purposes or knowledge exchange, in addition to seeking training for their employees through Amcham’s Corporate Education programs. Added to this, various actions in Government Relations, International Business, Sustainability, and other areas are available to the companies that are a part of the Chamber.

Following the trends of the market’s acceleration and the purpose of assisting companies in their main challenges and demands, Amcham’s activities in open innovation began in 2017 with the Amcham Arena program, which has since connected more than 3,000 startups to the 4,000 member companies. With the growing demands of the market, the Chamber has evolved to create an innovation lab that enables all companies, even the smallest ones, to connect to this ecosystem. They work on knowledge, culture, and connections to empower all companies to build a more innovative and sustainable future—whether through methodologies like Nitro, built in partnership with Harvard, or projects like the Decarbonization Hub, which accelerates the development of green solutions. These achievements have made Amcham the best innovation ecosystem in the country for the third consecutive year.

In 2024, the Chamber celebrates 23 years in Curitiba and is an active part of the development of the state of ParanĂ¡ in conjunction together with partner companies, through projects such as ParanĂ¡ Avança, CEO Forum, Amcham Arena, and thematic committees—including innovation. It is believed that promoting a fertile environment for transformative connections is essential for the evolution of local competitiveness.
