Sustainability
Green is not only the company’s colour, but also stands for a sustainable business with a green future vision. At the moment, Zuidnatie has already installed twee wind turbines on their terminal, LED in their warehouses and solar panels on the roofs of the warehouses. Since 2011 Zuidnatie has hybrid company cars and since several months, their first full electric company cars have arrived and are already in use. It’s their ambition to completely switch the car fleet by 2027. In order to assure the right infrastructure for their employees with a full electric car, Zuidnatie has installed charging stations at every terminal. The company is also using full electric forklifts in their warehouses, which is of course beneficial for the environment and the staff. Lastly, Zuidnatie owns 13 cranes in total, which of two are hybrid and two are full electric. The company also ordered their newest hybrid crane, which will arrive in October 2023. This shows that Zuidnatie really works on switching their assets to full electric in the future. A story to be continued!
