SUCESU-PR – Association of Computer and Telecommunications Users of Paraná, a non-profit entity, was created in 1970 by a group of users who met to debate and seek solutions together, being the most traditional entity in the area of computing. Participating in important events in the history of information technology in Brazil – Software Law, II Planin, end of the market reserve, among others. Associated companies are the largest technology buyers in the state of Paraná.

SUCESU-PR is managed by a body of directors elected by its members, they are leaders in the IT area of the most varied business segments in the state of Paraná, thus carrying out voluntary work. CIOs from large national, multinational and government/public companies are always part of SUCESU-PR’s board of directors.

SUCESU-PR’s mission is to debate major topics related to the use of computer and telecommunications technologies, supporting SUCESU Nacional in its political, institutional and technical actions, providing support to members in defending their interests, developing people and disseminating new technologies. It has a strong name nationally, statewide and in the state’s main cities, being a widely known entity in the sector it represents. Actively participating in studies, research and debates; ease of access to authorities and media space; representation of members on councils, forums, chambers and strategic groups; coordination and development of events pointing to new technological directions; defense of associates against harmful market practices; quality of the labor market and understanding between capital and labor; searching for harmonious coexistence between community agents; understanding new scenarios and identifying market niches; and development of new methods and processes.

One of SUCESU’s most traditional activities are the Thematic Discussion Groups, also known as GUS (User Groups), formed by professionals interested in getting together to deal with technical, social and political- partisan issues, aimed directly at the diffusion and dissemination of information technology, its use and integration with other related areas of knowledge. These groups are formed following current topics that require sharing knowledge and defining positioning.
