Global leader in clean energy, New Holland Agriculture, a CNH brand and headquartered in Curitiba, is one of the most innovative companies in the agricultural sector in the world. Investment in new technologies and sustainable solutions is constant – always seeking to improve the experience of its customers.

This culture is also encouraged for dealers, suppliers and partners. “We try, in our daily basis, to find innovative solutions that involve sustainability in a broad sense, involving everyone in our chain. From recycling processes within factories to supporting social projects in the communities surrounding our presence. And, in the products we launch on the market, such as the first tractor powered by biomethane in the world”, says Eduardo Kerbauy, New Holland Agriculture vice-president for Latin America.

Biomethane
The T6.180 Methane Power opened a new segment of agricultural machinery. It emits up to 80% less pollutants than an equivalent diesel tractor, running on gas generated from the decomposition of organic waste on the farm itself. It contributes to reducing the farm’s operating costs and the possibility of being free from the uncertainties of the fossil fuel market.

This type of tractor gives the producer the possibility of using biogas generated within the property (from animal waste, for example) to fuel the equipment. It takes advantage of the so-called “virtuous cycle of the farm”, which becomes increasingly self-sufficient from an energy point of view and environmentally friendly. This new technology reinforces the brand’s leadership in the development of alternative fuels, which are more sustainable and deliver the same energy and operational efficiency as a conventional tractor, in addition to having a better cost-benefit ratio for the producer.

Electric Tractor
Another solution in the alternative propulsion line is the world’s first electric tractor with autonomous features: the T4 Electric Power, which New Holland is expecting to launch globally in 2024. Produced in partnership with Monarch Tractor, it is the ideal solution for smaller operations, being suitable for mixed farms, livestock, orchards and special applications. It is a product that reduces noise by up to 90% compared to a common tractor, in addition to eliminating the use of diesel. And there is so much technology on board that it can even be activated via smartphone.

New Holland is also at the forefront of digital agriculture, which is now a reality in the Brazilian countryside and involves a broad process. It starts with the digitalization of agricultural machinery, servitization, telemetry and machine connectivity, integrating the entire farm operation with the transmission and reception of data in real time.

100% Connected
In this sense, the highlight is the high-power T8 PLM Intelligence tractor. Produced in Curitiba, it is 100% connected, with a factory-embedded electronic architecture aimed at high-performance digital agriculture. T8 PLM Intelligence brings a new concept that seeks to improve efficiency, delivering greater productivity with lower operating costs.

With the machine 100% connected, the producer will save on seeds, chemical pesticides, fuel and, at the same time, improve fleet management, optimizing the time of agricultural operations and labor, always having important information at hand that will help him to make the decision in real time and manage the property in the best possible way.

Artificial Intelligence
Another technology that is increasingly present in agricultural machinery is automation. Also produced in Brazil, New Holland’s CR Intellisense line harvesters have on-board artificial intelligence technology, which automatically performs various machine adjustments, increasing efficiency and productivity in real time.

This technology allows a less experienced operator, for example, to obtain productivity similar to that of a more experienced operator. This is because the machine makes it possible to choose between different harvesting “strategies”, according to the condition of the crop and the objective you want to achieve.

Accessible Tractor
In 2023, New Holland commercially launched the world’s first affordable agricultural tractor in Brazil, produced by an automaker. The TL5 Accessible, manufactured in Curitiba, is a machine aimed at people with motor disabilities in the lower limbs, enabling them to independently carry out their activities in the field.

The tractor is equipped with a lifting platform and a joystick, with which the operator controls the movements necessary to carry out his own boarding/disembarking, having access to the operator’s seat and machine controls, which has been adapted to facilitate operations, maintaining good internal space and ergonomics. Furthermore, this tractor can be used by people without reduced mobility.

The result of a partnership with Elevittá, Arteprima and Senai – São Leopoldo, TL5 Accessible gives people with disabilities who live and work in the countryside the opportunity to regain the leading role in their lives, promoting accessibility and inclusion.

According to Kerbauy, New Holland is a brand that cares about improving the customer experience and will continue to expand its line of products and solutions for all farmer profiles. “We will continue to strengthen our dealer network and invest in innovation with sustainability and technology, focusing on digital agriculture. In this way, we will continue to grow in a sustainable way and accompany Brazilian agribusiness, which is one of the most important in the world”, he concludes.
