HIPE Innovation Center is the only innovation ecosystem in Brazil that drives and invests in every step of the retail entrepreneuring cycle.
In over 22,000 square feet of workspace, HIPE houses about 300 workers between traditional companies, startups and independent professionals using a shared space model.
According to HIPE’s CCO, Ricado Pontes, the center was created with the idea of finding issued affecting the retail market and connect those with a solution through an environment ripe for networking and knowledge sharing:

With the goal to drive the retail sector and help companies reinvent themselves inside the New Retail context, Hipe presents itself as a laid-back atmosphere, ideal to stimulate creativity and connection between members”
HIPE has four programs that help retail business development:
Space: With both physical and virtual spaces, it provides private rooms, shared spaces, meeting rooms, decompression areas and event venues.
Incubator: With the HIPE My Idea and Hipe Born programs, HIPE not only helps find funding but also lends all the necessary support for
startups on the early development stages, helping grow their solutions and stimulating structured growth.
Accelerator: Through HIPE Growth, HIPE invests and drives projects that are already at a more advanced stage, ready to accelerate growth in a fast and assertive manner. Selected startups receive support and mentorship required to grow their business and client base.
Venture Builder: With focus on disruptive innovation, this program helps in the creation and development of new startups, driving ideas that can revolutionize the retail market.
Thinking of generating market intelligence, HIPE has created a research, innovation and development institute, HIPE LAB, a nonprofit that operates in three areas:
Research: Performing several different studies together with experienced professionals in retail, consultants and academy, with the main goal of finding operational problems.
Events: Promote the sharing of needs, innovations and know-how for the retail sector through events in several formats.
Laboratories: Through physical and virtual structures, stimulates the development and promoting of solutions, conducting tests, validations and demonstrations for software, hardware and products in general.
Through its different programs, HIPE Innovation Center performs a fundamental role in the promotion of innovation and acts as a catalyzer for business and retail entrepreneurship in Brazil.
