Fiocruz Paraná conducts research in the fields of biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology of infectious agents and their hosts, regulation of gene expression in microorganisms and parasites, molecular characterization of stem cells, molecular virology, rare diseases, cancers, and biotechnology.
The institute provides access to technological platforms such as microscopy, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, and structural biology.
Health technologies for diagnosis and treatment, as well as social technologies, are developed.
