Rodrigo Rodríguez-Novás is the founder and CEO of NORDES Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in business management, divestitures, mergers & acquisitions, and project management. NORDES Consulting enables companies to accelerate their journey to success and reach their full potential, and its tailored solutions leverage proven best practices. By keeping these frameworks streamlined and lean, NORDES allows clients to focus on their core business, no matter the atmosphere in which they find themselves.
As an entrepreneur with nearly two decades in financial services across different geographies and functions, most recently as Senior Vice President for Citi, Rodrigo offers a unique perspective that helps small companies to compete in today’s market and large companies to become more agile.
His bespoke and accessibly priced offerings enable clients to move forward confidently, whether the next step is optimizing, scaling, exiting, merging, or expanding to new markets. Through his extensive experience conducting business and managing strategic initiatives in Latin America for over 16 years, Rodrigo illuminates opportunities for companies of any size, industry, or origin to expand in the region and in bringing LATAM companies to the U.S.
Rodrigo is a former competitive freediver, and instructor with Performance Freediving International, the most recognized agency in the industry. The ability to remain calm while holding his breath at depths over 160 feet is one that he has been able to translate to the corporate world. It allows him to work well under pressure, to problem-solve more effectively and efficiently, to mitigate crises, and to keep the end goal in mind.
Rodrigo holds a double major in Economics and Finance from The University of Tampa and a double minor in Business Management and European Studies. Upon graduation, he completed coursework in International Political Economy & Politics of International Trade at The London School of Economics. As a strong believer in continuing education, he has completed executive programs in Leadership at the University for Peace in Costa Rica, Mergers and Acquisitions at Wharton, and is a certified Project Management Practitioner (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
Currently, Rodrigo serves on the Alumni Board of The University of Tampa, is the Publishing Partner for INNOVATE® Miami, offers mentoring, and is an angel investor. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, with strong Spanish roots, Rodrigo has been in Miami for over 13 years where he lives with his family.
