Bold City Bots was founded in 2017 to provide solutions for small businesses in Jacksonville that struggle with or are too short-staffed to answer each email or message from their customers and prospective customers on platforms like Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or LinkedIn. 39% of people that message a company on social media channels expect a response within an hour. Chatbots represent a new trend in how people access information, make decisions and communicate.

We’re made up of 1 kick-ass Developer and 2 Sales & Marketing partners with over 20 years of experience in UX Design, Digital Marketing, and Sales Strategy. One of us makes some really good cocktails too! Our mission is simple and straightforward. We hate seeing small businesses lose customer opportunities by not being available or not having more efficient engagement & support methods. People still spend 2-6 hours a day on social and are spending more time there now than ever before with 2.3B messages sent between businesses and consumers on Facebook Messenger every month.

Our team focuses on guiding and assisting businesses in enhancing, automating and scaling their communication efforts like never before. Using automated messaging systems called Chatbots and a new strategy, Messenger Marketing, we reach your customers where they are (hint…it’s not their email inbox) with messages they want to hear.
THE INDUSTRY AND WHERE WE FIT
IBM’s Watson was one of the first well-known chatbots in the world when it debuted in 2010. Since then chat applications have been at the forefront of customer engagement for numerous enterprises in nearly every industry from banking to beauty. IBM reported in 2017 that Chatbots will be responsible for cost savings of $8B annually by 2022. I think we’ve done a great job of bringing this big box tech to small business owners without the huge IBM price tag.
This year we collaborated with Danny Monzon and DM Digital to design and develop the popular bilingual restaurant chatbot for Si Senor Fresh Mex, one of TripAdvisor’s top Mexican Restaurants in Jacksonville. With a pretty small staff, they weren’t able to answer each email, Facebook message, or Instagram DM they received. Sometimes they would go unanswered for a few days. Their chatbot assistant Alana now answers questions instantly, gives a swipe view of their menu, promotes their loyalty program, and book reservations with ease. As a service, we also deliver monthly marketing campaigns for Facebook Messenger and manage up to $10K in monthly Facebook ad spend for our clients.
WHAT’S THE FUTURE HOLD?
In March our whole team got certified and became an agency partner with San Diego–based tech company ManyChat Inc. They’re Facebook’s preferred chatbot development platform as of 2018 and have been developing amazing software that helps us deliver for our clients. In 2020 we look to bring our partners to Jacksonville to educate more and more small business owners about the power of chatbots, automation, and personalized marketing communication.
