Our country’s most pressing challenges – from climate change and national security to healthcare and education – demand a renewed partnership across the private and public sectors to connect our greatest national asset: our talent. The NobleReach Foundation inspires, develops, and supports mission-driven entrepreneurship to tackle our society’s biggest challenges through public service. It combines the agility of the private sector, the ideas of research and academia, and the scale of the public sector to drive innovation and inspire and nurture the next generation of mission-driven entrepreneurs.
Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, NobleReach was established in July 2022 following the acquisition and rebranding of LMI. The organization further deepened its mission in November 2022 by merging forces with IQT Emerge. Since 2020, the nonprofit organization Emerge has been working to connect the US government innovation pipeline with entrepreneurship to support technology development for the national interest.
A Unique Approach to National Challenges
NobleReach creates a sustainable pathway for top technical, scientific, and entrepreneurial talent to work on mission-critical projects. The foundation’s initiatives, such as the NobleReach Fellows, NobleReach Interns, NobleReach Emerge, NobleReach Scholars, and Embedded Entrepreneur programs, are designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship to early-career professionals.
“NobleReach inspires the brightest minds in America to make a difference,” emphasizes Arun Gupta, CEO of NobleReach, who is also a lecturer at Stanford and Georgetown Universities and author of the national bestseller, Venture Meets Mission. “We believe in the power of innovation and public service. Our programs are designed to expose young professionals to mission-oriented work and help them design solutions to some of the most complex problems facing our nation.”
At the heart of NobleReach’s mission is the belief that collaboration between the private sector, academia, and government is essential to address the nation’s most pressing challenges. This triad forms the backbone of a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, where each sector plays a crucial role in research, development, commercialization, and real-world application.
“Innovation is about people,” Arun shares. “Innovation’s true power lies not in technology alone but in the people who harness and apply it. By fostering collaboration, we create an environment where innovators can thrive, turning abstract ideas into tangible solutions that address societal needs. It’s the entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and business leaders working in concert that transform promising technologies from shelf-bound curiosities into scalable, impactful innovations that will shape our future.”
Building a Community of Experts
NobleReach is committed to convening and cultivating a community of experts who will drive innovation and thought leadership to advance US national and economic security interests. “We are building a community of exceptional talent across the nation,” Arun says. “Our partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders are crucial to fostering innovation and excellence in public service.”
The foundation’s partnerships with over 50 universities and government research organizations like the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) catalyze groundbreaking research and innovations in various fields, including cybersecurity, AI, biotechnology, life sciences, aerospace, materials science, wireless communications, and semiconductors.
Arun asserts: “Our mission is to bring the entrepreneurial spirit of the private sector into the government, not necessarily for their entire careers, but as part of a self-reinforcing ecosystem of public and private talent working in partnership. We start with students at the university level, working with them through their careers in and out of government through an ecosystem of support and community. By creating that connective tissue between the public and private sectors, we are modernizing the current talent infrastructure to ensure we remain globally competitive.”
NobleReach’s Impact
In its two short years as NobleReach Foundation, it has grown into a dynamic team of over 50 dedicated professionals, launched the inaugural internship and NobleReach Scholars programs, and partnered with more than 50 universities to develop curricula and convenings that foster innovation and excellence in public service, placing mission-driven tech talent in critical government agencies and departments such as the Space Force, the Navy, the Treasury, CISA, NOAA, and HUD, and helped commercialize over 90 ventures to raise $1.3B in funding.
“We are particularly excited about NobleReach’s Scholars program, where individuals can gain professional experience, essential skills, unique mentorship, and connections to drive meaningful change in tech, science, and entrepreneurship through public service,” Arun shares. “We’re deepening our partnerships with academic institutions and strengthening collaborations with industry leaders who recognize the critical need for innovation and public-serving endeavors. This growth allows us to reach more talented individuals and create a wider ripple effect of positive change.”
A Future Full of Promise
As NobleReach grows, the foundation remains focused on its mission to inspire and mobilize America’s best and brightest minds. By fostering collaboration, providing strategic consulting, and building a community of experts, NobleReach is poised to drive innovation and address the nation’s most pressing challenges.
“We are excited about the future of NobleReach,” Gupta says. “Our work is just beginning, and we are committed to making a lasting impact on our nation’s security and prosperity.”
NobleReach Foundation’s journey is a testament to the power of innovation and public service. With a vision of collaboration and a commitment to national service, NobleReach inspires the next generation of mission-driven changemakers to make a difference.
Arun concludes: “NobleReach undertakes this work to secure our nation’s future, but we would not be successful without our community and partners who share these values and are committed to developing talent and technologies in a sustainable, scalable way for the good of our nation.”
