With various courses in Web Development, UX/UI product design and Digital Marketing, Wyncode’s innovative curriculum prepares students to compete in the national job arena. This is demonstrated by Wyncode’s 93% job placement rate, 750+ technology graduates and 350+ hiring partners. Launched in 2014, Wyncode is the first coding boot camp to open in South Florida and the first to be licensed by a state Department of Education. Wyncode has been awarded South Florida Business Journal’s Start-Up of the Year, Beacon Council’s Educator of the Year and Tech.co’s Best Company Culture. More recently, Wyncode’s bootcamp program was the #12 ranked coding bootcamp in the country according to Course Report (and highest-ranked in Florida).

Wyncode also believes strongly in the importance and the benefits of building a diverse technology ecosystem.

Through its scholarships and programs, Wyncode is committed to closing the gap for Women in Tech, supporting Veterans who want to break into tech and providing access to underrepresented groups to take part in these programs. In addition, Wyncode’s talent placement arm, Wyntalent, focuses on promoting initiatives through Wyncode’s 350+ Hiring Partners to ‘hire local’ in an effort to help those individuals and companies grow through innovative, inclusive and sustainable hiring practices.

Johanna Mikkola is the CEO and Co-founder of Wyncode Academy a leading technical school dedicated to training top technology talent through best-in-class accelerated and immersive programs. With various courses in web development, UX/UI product design and digital marketing, Wyncode’s innovative curriculum prepares students to compete in the national job arena. This is demonstrated by Wyncode’s 93% job placement rate, 750+ technology graduates and 350+ hiring partners.

Johanna was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in June 2015 joining a prestigious network of only the most select high impact entrepreneurs around the globe. Johanna is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Babson College WIN LAB, is a founding member of the Miami chapter of the Female Founder Collective, sits on the content advisory board of eMerge Americas, and is an Ambassador for Aminta Ventures. She is also a member of Entrepreneur Organization. She was recently selected as Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s female leader in technology and was a finalist for Entrepreneur of the year. Johanna was awarded the 40 Under 40 Award by South Florida Business Journal.

Johanna is passionate about people and places, having considered multiple cities to launch the coding school she and co-founder Juha Mikkola enthusiastically chose Miami for the opportunity to make a positive impact on its growing ecosystem. She is also an advocate for Women in Tech, promoting Wyncode’s goal to close the gap for women in STEM and speaking recently at a Tedx Talk about the importance of diverse teams and How to hire the right tech talent.

Before launching Wyncode in 2014, Johanna spent a decade in corporate management with the National Hockey League becoming the highest-ranking female in her department’s history. There she led a team of managers as well as overseeing the business operations of the officiating department, managing the largest departmental budget within the organization. Johanna holds an honors Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto. In 2007 she represented Canada as a forward at the World Floorball Championships.
