Committed to sustainable development since 2019, Universidade Positivo incorporates the United Nation’s sustainable development goals into every facet of its education system. In every undergraduate program, students engage in interdisciplinary disciplines regarding Society, the Environment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. Through hands- on projects within local communities, students apply tools such as design thinking, canvas, and business plans to address real-world challenges. Noteworthy projects include the development of
business plans for the ideas of incarcerated women, in order to facilitate their reintegration into society, and the implementation of socio-environmental improvements in a remaining Quilombola Community, such as insulated houses, beds made from recyclable materials, and composting systems.
Universidade Positivo’s dedication to research and innovation is evident in its postgraduate programs in Administration, Industrial Biotechnology, Law, Environmental Management, and Dentistry. These programs undertake both basic and applied R&D and collaborate with industry partners to develop projects that often translate into patents, software, commercial products, or internal process enhancements.
Universidade Positivo has recently introduced two brands to enhance its connection with society and local enterprises. The first one, UP Experience, manages the university’s versatile spaces available for rent, including theaters, auditoriums, gym, and laboratories, which fosters the increase of community integration. Teatro Positivo is the biggest theater in Paraná and, combined with the other infrastructure, contributes to make Curitiba one of the cities with greatest cultural and scientific relevance in Brazil. Also, Ecohub, the innovation ecosystem of the university, functions as a dynamic technology park and innovation center. Its mission is to fortify businesses through open innovation, fostering strategic partnerships between the university and external companies while supporting new entrepreneurs. master’s project.
