In 2016 the global conferencing platform Social Media Week landed in Bristol to an overwhelming welcome from the city’s media, marketing and tech community. It’s since become a significant event for Bristol’s business community and 2020 will be its fourth year.

Starting in New York 10 years ago, Social Media Week is now presented in over 25 cities worldwide and is recognised as the leading platform for sharing insights into how social media and technology are changing business, society and culture around the world.

Three successful editions of Social Media Week Bristol have been delivered to date with each event having attracted over 2,000 attendees who’ve enjoyed a range of talks and workshops from leading organisations including CIPR, B&Q, Depop and Aardman Animations.

Home to some of the country’s leading brands, creative businesses and marketing and communications  agencies, Bristol is the only city in the UK, outside of London, to host this truly global conference.

OUR STORY

Social Media Week Bristol provides an innovative platform to showcase the South West’s talent and expertise to the wider world, alongside providing grassroots opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing and engagement with the wider business community across the region.

Bristol is widely recognised as a world-leading centre of creativity and innovation and the event brings together key players that contribute to knowledge sharing. The conference also aims to facilitate collaboration with businesses and enterprises that have yet to fully realise the potential of social media. And, supporting Bristol’s reputation as a connected and collaborative city, Social Media Week Bristol has become a great platform to build online and offline relationships locally, nationally and internationally, with delegates traveling from as far afield as UAE, Poland & the US to visit the event.
