Since 2010, RSM employees have helped others through a coordinated firm-wide Volunteer Day. RSM’s day of giving back has grown so much that in 2019, the firm decided to expand it to an entire week to maximize the volunteer impact on our communities. Over the past ten years, RSM has donated more than $17 million to national and local charitable organizations that support youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health. RSM’s Minneapolis office has a long track record of supporting and participating in fundraising activities and volunteer work to support the Twin Cities community.

Over the last four years, hundreds of RSM Minneapolis employees have donated over 6,800 hours and more than $145,000 to support public schools in the area. RSM US LLP traces its history to 1926, when Ira B. McGladrey started his own accounting firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a vision to treat employees well, serve clients with integrity, and bring leadership and innovation to his firm and profession. As a business owner, McGladrey was an early innovator who addressed real issues with real solutions.
As an accountant, he championed original ideas that would come to define new accounting practice standards nationwide. We believe innovation comes from everywhere and that anyone who has a big idea can drive transformative change. We support our professionals in and out of the office to further enhance a culture that embraces fresh perspectives and creative thinking.
