The agency was founded in 2007 by CEO Michael Westafer, a Clearwater native and lifelong creative who was tired of seeing work and outcomes that were just “good.” His solution? Try his hand at ownership with an agency committed to delivering excellence, every time.
Shortly after taking the entrepreneurial plunge, Westafer enlisted the help of developer Chris Aybar – adding the “code” to Roger West Creative & Code. The agency’s mission has always been to provide a dynamic, engaging environment for marketing experts to thrive. It wasn’t long before Roger West became a haven where creatives and developers could team up with clients to drive traffic to vibrant online destinations and elevate messages that pack a punch.
The goal? To masterfully blend form (creative), message (branding) and function (code) in order to drive business growth. Plus, it’s the kind of workplace people love. Roger West earned Best Places to Work recognition from the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2019 and 2020.

Despite a year of chaos and unpredictability, Roger West added new logos to its client roster, along with an expanded leadership team and service offerings in 2020.
