Optech is a College Centre for Technology Transfer (CCTT) incorporated as a non-profit organization (NPO) founded in 2002 with a mission to raise awareness of optics/photonics-related technologies and help implement them to support efforts to improve productivity and innovation in companies across Quebec.
Our team is made up of thirty-plus experts from various fields with a wealth of experience in experimental and industrial development. We offer services that cover the entire development process for new products and processes. That includes feasibility studies, design, prototyping, manufacture of R&D prototypes, design of processes and manufacturing equipment as well as the implementation of characterization and reliability tests. We base our approach on open communication and organizational efficiency with our partners; our teams and laboratories are accessible and wholeheartedly aimed at supporting our clients.
Relaying on the most recent scientific and technological advances, Optech helps companies based on their specific needs. Since optics is a cross-cutting technology, we work with companies operating in highly diverse areas: medical and industrial technologies, multimedia, transport, communications and agriculture. To do so, all of our expertise comes into play: imaging & illumination, fibre optic systems, imaging & illumination, metrology, microsystems and artificial intelligence. We are also experts in supporting technologies that are so essential to what we do, such as designing optomechanics, optoelectronics as well as software and algorithmic development.
