Our core business is big distribution of baby items in- and outside the EU in a multi-channel setting. That means a lot of requirements by country legal systems and specific customer demands. Data in one source as key for automation and operations
Innovative products are one part of our story, the other part is smart investments in technology to distribute at a high level. New
Valmar chooses to bring all relevant data together in their ERP system. With the ERP package as a unique source of truth we support our most important processes: from purchase to sale, including finance and logistics.

Starting with item creation in the system, automatic uploads of dimensions, weights, delivery details etc. All that allows us to provide the complete logistic data to the warehouse and also to our customers. We are exchanging messages via EDI, using apps and other tools for order intake to reduce manual labor and errors. Item information provided via a PIM (Product information management) and the use of GS1 standards make NV the perfect partner for major players in our sector, such as drug stores, hyper markets, e commerce companies… Their demands are high and we need to be flexible and innovative to fulfil them all.

Challenging times
Covid forced us to improve our processes even more. A virtual printing system works remotely controlled and offers lots of options.

To guarantee the quickest picking process, we rely on a smart WMS system and an intelligent warehouse design and floor plan.

The WMS provides the best picking routes, automatic replenishment and other processes, while logistic documents and labels are printed in the warehouse directly after finishing the picking process. New Valmar integrates the transport items into the order picking process. With that information the pickup of the goods by various transport companies can be arranged via our transport tool, connected to the ERP system. It is not only corresponding with the transport companies, but also creating a tracking linked to the order itself. Valuable information automatically send to the customer.

Correct information is the base of a good service
A good stock management is very important. It allows us to handle orders quickly and to satisfy the customer by informing him correctly on interruptions or changes of delivery dates.

A MRP (Merchandise report) system gives a correct picture of the available stock in a timeline. The system takes existing orders, arrival times of the goods, etc. into account. The changes of delivery dates are checked and updated every night. This means that the data in our system is always up to date.

This in combination with a monthly updated forecast keeps our customers perfectly informed and prevents overstock. Having all this information at hand gives us the flexibility that we need to act quickly.

Preventing overstock is as important as preventing stock interruptions. A good stock policy gives your company the necessary flexibility and the financial strength to be able to switch and react fast in difficult situations.
