Since its foundation in 1996 in the city of Curitiba, State of Paraná, the Superior Institute of Administration and Economics of Mercosur (ISAE) is committed to transformative education and innovative solutions to generate sustainable results. In classes, the use of active methodologies, combined with experiences focused on market practices, encourages student protagonism and forms globally responsible leaders.
Throughout its trajectory, ISAE has always sought new ways to innovate and contribute to society, going beyond the school walls, working in various sectors, establishing strategic partnerships, and providing quality education to all audiences. This forward-looking approach inspired the pursuit and creation of customized solutions for the market and the gathering of unique achievements.
Always combining research, market vision, and innovation, ISAE Business School began its journey with the partnership of cooperatives, developing education programs with customized extension courses and postgraduate studies. This partnership has already trained more than 400 cooperatives over 25-years.
In 2018, at the request of the National Cooperative Learning Service of Paraná (SESCOOP/PR), ISAE initiated an ambitious training model: the Program for Training Agents of Innovation for Paraná Cooperatives. In the first cycle, the program had 14 classes in 11 cities of the State, with 539 participants representing 70 cooperatives. In the second cycle, which started in August 2020, there were 17 online classes, 541 participants from 90 cooperatives.
ISAE’s Innovation Training Program has also consolidated throughout Brazil, having trained over 1,500 cooperative employees. For this, it relied on the involvement of more than 30 expert professors in their fields, always focusing on providing solutions applicable to cooperatives.
In 2019, the 14th Brazilian Cooperative Congress emphasized the importance of innovation for the competitiveness of cooperatives.
Among the strategies presented, the pioneering training offered by ISAE to employees, directors, and advisors proved fundamental, becoming the largest initiative ever undertaken regarding innovation training in cooperatives in Brazil.
Without delay, the program gained national prominence, and currently, ISAE is working with the OCB System on the development of an Innovation Maturity Diagnostic Tool for cooperatives.
The cutting edge is also present in the release of the book “Innovation Management in Cooperatives: A Path to Innovate” (2022), which, in its 13 chapters, provides relevant content for the systematization and consolidation of Innovation Management in cooperatives.
Starting in 2023, ISAE became part of the Innovation Ecosystem of Curitiba, due to its active contribution to development actions in Vale do Pinhão and the Curitiba Development Agency. The ISAE Business School, an innovative Curitiba-based company, takes pride in being part of this ecosystem in the city that was awarded the title of the smartest city in the world in 2023.
