Mission: The Greenhouse is St. Petersburg’s front-door to business growth, providing business owners and entrepreneurs with the education, resources and assistance necessary to thrive in the local economy. Comprised of an expert team from the City of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, along with a wide network of partners, we are committed to the economic growth and development of St. Petersburg’s economy.

Innovation abounds in Tampa Bay! At The Greenhouse, we have the privilege of helping entrepreneurs launch their big ideas, gain business savvy to succeed, and continue growth as established companies. While many of our clients are in the idea and startup stages, we provide assistance to business owners throughout the life cycle of their company. We believe that entrepreneurship, economic development, and community are intertwined. Each new business – each micro-enterprise as well as every larger corporation – plays a role in transforming our local economy. As such, we focus on innovating from within, empowering entrepreneurs and the surrounding community alike to make St. Petersburg the ideal place to live, work, and play. At The Greenhouse, we concentrate the majority of our efforts on business training, consultation, liaison services, networking and promotion. We also run the Small Business Enterprise Program, the Growth Corridor Program, the Eckerd-Greenhouse Experience in Entrepreneurship Program, and the Entrepreneurial Academy. While these service areas represent our focus, we also utilize our wide network of partnerships to ensure business owners receive the support and connections they need. This strategy allows for maximum impact on entrepreneurship, economic development, and the community as a whole.
