The idea of contributing to Quebec’s development is why I’m involved in the fast-paced world of innovation. It’s also the way to ensure an essential approach to our collective ambitions, in order to become a hub in several cutting-edge innovation sectors, notably aluminum.

To this end, I am a fierce advocate of the necessary collaboration that must drive us forward. Every day, I ask myself how I can help colleagues and partners to work together in a positive way. In short, to understand that we need to prioritize the organizations and people who will be best equipped to drive innovation forward.

Innovation is not just an idea. It must be part of a global approach, ideally multi-sectoral. It’s an exercise that requires the contribution not only of researchers, but also of free and open-minded visionaries who don’t hesitate to provoke exchanges to take things further. It’s also important that this whole ecosystem embraces a positive vision of things, where we encourage the creation of solutions and see challenges as opportunities for improvement, not as obstacles to creation.

As Farah Alibay, aerospace engineer and internationally-renowned Quebecer, put it in a recent interview conducted by our team:
