We are Giiks Game City (GGC), a non-profit organization with the primary goal of organizing gaming events, TV content, creating and re- modify existing local and contemporary games, for a wider audience.
Video gaming, a subculture of E-Sports (Electronic Sports) is seeing rapid growth in Ghana. The ubiquity of PC games, playstation and Xbox and mobile games in Ghanaian homes are evidence of the high proliferation of electronic games have attained in Ghana.
In spite of the evident growth, the industry still faces some bottlenecks including the lack of financial backing, poor reach, Inadequate logistics and the absence of collaboration amongst key players in the community.
- The GGC seeks to empower and inspire the Ghanaian gamer to venture into professional gaming by organizing high profile ESports tournaments which offer a taste of professional level competition and reward whilst creating avenues for employment.
- To this effect, we have organized successful video game competitions. These tournaments garnered thousands of spectators and many positive feedbacks from gaming communities in and outside the country.
