Meeting Genesis10 for the first time, most people ask about our name. It’s a nod to 10 people who believed in new beginnings–placing their trust in CEO Harley Lippman to found and nurture a technology staffi ng and services fi rm with a distinctive set of core values. Genesis10 set out to become a company that cares about people and communities, creating prosperity in America and protecting our planet; a company that listens to
clients, consultants and employees and responds rapidly with innovative solutions.

Since our founding in 1999, listening to clients, consultants and employees, while maintaining a pulse on the contingent workforce landscape, has grown Genesis10 into a thriving and diverse professional technology services fi rm. Today, Genesis10 has earned national recognition as a top IT staffi ng fi rm from Staffi ng Industry Analysts (SIA), Gartner and Everest Group, and as one of 25 major U.S. companies with Best Work-Life Balance by Comparably. CEO Harley Lippman is recognized as one of the most infl uential leaders in the industry by SIA and as Best CEO for two consecutive years.

Genesis10 has more than 2,000 employees and consultants and more than 20 sales and recruiting offi ces throughout North America, including seven domestic delivery centers. Supporting clients in Minneapolis/St. Paul metro since 2001, our local offi ce has been recognized by the Star Tribune as a Top Workplace in Minnesota and consistently by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a top technology and management consulting fi rm. Other accolades include a Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) Tekne Award and recognition as a Blue Diamond Awards fi nalist. Addressing the Tech Talent Gap
Recognizing that our clients in Minneapolis/ St. Paul and around the nation have a need for technology talent, specifi cally, software developers trained in sought-after skills, our Minnesota team launched our Dev10 Software Developer training program in 2018. For Dev10, we identify local, high-aptitude, STEM-degreed U.S. citizens and immerse them in a threemonth technology training program.

The Dev10 program closes the tech talent gap by recruiting locally, training locally, and deploying locally. Since Genesis10 launched Dev10, more than 100 people have successfully completed the Software Developer training and are working as Genesis10 consultants for clients in banking and fi nancial services,
manufacturing, healthcare, and retail. Of these consultants, 39% are women and 42% are ethnically diverse. In 2019, the Dev10 program expanded into Charlotte and Dallas. In 2020, Dev10 will launch in Milwaukee, Chicago and New York.

Each candidate for Dev10 is vetted through a rigorous selection process. Of those who apply, just 3% are selected for the program. During training, Genesis10 pays students a salary. Upon successfully completing their training, Dev10 Associates are placed with Genesis10 clients locally; Dev10 develops new tech talent who wish to remain in the region. Once on the job, Genesis10 provides ongoing mentoring and performance management.

Our Dev10 Associates share that they are happy in their new careers. Their projects are challenging, and they relish the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences to further their tech careers. Genesis10 clients say that they are impressed not only with the high caliber and high potential of Dev10 Associates, but also with their level of productivity and contribution. One client shared that, within two months on the job, the Dev10 Associate was completing work comparable to senior developers.

Caring for People
In keeping with our CEO Harley Lippman’s core values of caring deeply about people and communities, Genesis10 teams with the State of Minnesota to prepare promising, underrepresented Minnesota citizens for careers within the State’s Information Technology organization – MNIT. Since 2017, Genesis10 recruiters provide pro bono advisory services to job seekers, including resume review and interview coaching. The sessions take place at various events and venues in the Twin Cities. In addition, our Minnesota team supports a variety of non-profi t organizations through volunteering and board service. Each year, we conduct a toy drive for children served by Perspectives, a human services agency with comprehensive programs that address substance abuse and mental health disorders.
