Francis J. Giantomasi (Frank), a member of the Executive Committee of CSG Law, plays a critical role in the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group. Over the course of his career, Frank has guided clients through a wide variety of planning, zoning and development projects throughout the Garden State.
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is a New Jersey law firm first and foremost. When we began developing our new firm headquarters, we were committed to staying in the state, and in Essex County specifically.
While many companies were downsizing and reducing their office needs during the pandemic, we began to envision the law firm of the future. One that would provide opportunities for collaboration at all levels to best serve our clients. We felt it was important as we emerged from the pandemic and remote workplace environment to continue to build the firm’s culture – the connective membrane that tethers our team together.
The pandemic taught us to utilize technology in new and different ways, videoconferencing became an integral part of our business. We invested in laptops for all employees and even eliminated traditional phones, moving to a Zoom platform, which allowed for seamless connectivity from any location. These changes helped to pave the way for the technology developments in our new headquarters.
A feature of our new office is a dedicated client-facing conference center, which allows for the separation between legal practice floors and outside guests. In addition, the space allows us to host a wide variety of meetings, providing us with the opportunity to meet in person and virtually with many clients and other business leaders. On the practice floors, the decision was made to create consistent offices, allowing the firm’s culture and team spirit to shine through – with the most senior partners and junior lawyers enjoying the same sized offices, complete with custom-designed furniture that maximized the use of the space. We also have numerous meeting rooms and collaborative spaces to provide our employees with a myriad of ways to maximize their efficiency through in-person or remote collaboration.
