esaSolar Energy is a solar energy construction, developer and engineering provider for both residential and commercial properties. As a company, esaSolar is focused on transparency and education for its customers to raise the standard for Florida’s solar industry.

OUR STORY
Solar energy may be the future, but the average homeowner knows far less about this alternative energy than they do about other forms of home improvement, like landscaping or plumbing. Such a lack of available information and knowledge has created gaps in the market—for better and for worse.
“We realize that the Florida Solar Industry is still developing; much of the hesitation for homeowners and business owners in adopting solar energy stems from an education problem. Customers need to be more educated on the technology and how it works,” says Lindsay Latre, CEO of esaSolar. “We’re trying to make it easier for customers to choose solar power for their homes by creating a digital environment to interact with solar designs, engage with education tools, and sign a contract digitally to just make the process more seamless.”

esaSolar, established in 2010, decreases the distance between the manufacturer and the consumer. The company doesn’t produce its solar equipment, but it is committed to knowing everything there is to know about it and passing that information onto the client to ensure the customer understands the products that they’re buying. Imagine if a plumber came to your home and instead of completing their task in friendly silence, they explained, in terms easy to understand, what they were doing, how it worked and how the products they used would benefit you. Some might find this level of transparency unnecessary, but they would only do so if they ultimately trusted the contractor to do the job efficiently. For industries where that trust needs to be built or restored, as is the case with Florida’s solar industry, then that transparency is paramount. It is one of esaSolar’s main tenets, and the company hopes to set an example for others in the industry as well.
As a member of the Central Florida Community, esaSolar has partnered with Orlando Utilities Commission to create a new solar program in Orlando called OUCollective. Following a competitive bidding process, OUC selected esaSolar to design and install turnkey solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at a discounted price using OUC’s collective buying power. The OUCollective Solar program simplifies the process and brings transparency and choice to the solar-buying experience. OUC customers can schedule a free, no-obligation consultation with an energy advisor and receive a comprehensive solar suitability analysis with a 3D system design and three competitive quotes for their properties. Additionally, homeowners can add a hurricane-resiliency package, including a battery backup system that provides electricity during outages.
The cost of solar equipment has decreased 80% in the past five years, making it more accessible than ever before, and esaSolar is working to ensure that nothing stands between customers and this energy of the future.
