DR. JO ANNE WHITE-INSPIRING AND ELEVATING BUSINESSES, LEADERS AND INDIVIDUALS TO ADVANCE WITH INTENTIONAL ACTION ADDING SIGNIFICANT VALUE TO OTHERS AND OUR WORLD.
Innovation involves making changes by introducing new methods, ideas or products that add value. Dr. Jo Anne White Consulting Services LLC created and continues to create innovative approaches and methodology in human rights, education, business, interpersonal relationships, and in the healing of the mind and body. Innovation is necessary to not only diminish, but dissolve, practices and interactions that sustain bullying, discrimination, exclusion, degrading treatment and inequality. Instead we must uphold basic human rights with respect to dignity, humane treatment, equality and inclusion in education, socialization and hiring and advancement practices in business. When that happens we can truly say we live in a state, a community, hopefully a world, that fosters an extensive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Dr. Jo Anne White has been instrumental in raising awareness and spearheading an attitudinal shift on how society and the educational community viewed and treated children with special needs. Her award winning and Amazon international bestselling book “More Heaven: Because Every Child is Special”, although fiction, is based on a true story. It chronicles Dr. Jo Anne’s experience piloting a program for children with autism and special needs who were previously denied the right to public education due to their differences. The techniques that she utilized were innovative and unconventional for its time. Yet they achieved the necessary results for these children to successfully learn, interact and gain self-esteem which hadn’t been feasible beforehand. These innovative methods including creative play, movement and the acceptance and entry into the children’s unique worlds, also demonstrate an educational approach relevant today.
Jo Anne received an award for being one of the top fundraisers, stepping out for the southern New Jersey Autism Speaks organization for their WALK NOW FOR AUTISM SPEAKS event. She was also honored with a Service Recognition Award in appreciation of leadership, dedication and continuous service in the interest of special needs students of Camden County, New Jersey.
Doc White has also spoken up against bullying and its devastating, often life-threatening effects to children, youth and adults in schools, work environments, the community and cyberbullying. “Bully Free“, an international and award winning bestseller, showcases candid interviews and valuable advice in creating bully free environments, interactions, and behaviors at home, work, in schools, social situations, and more. It recounts the hardships and victories of bullied children and youth with special needs and their families. Through each featured story, we learn about the consequences of bullying and what must be done to promote kindness, inclusion, and respect.
Dr. Jo Anne White received a distinguished appointment as a Global Goodwill Ambassador (GGA) recognized for her civil and humanitarian work in Education, Women’s Rights, Entrepreneurship, and Coaching.
It’s not enough to speak out against the challenges faced in New Jersey and our world; we also need action and finances to support them. Proceeds from Jo Anne’s Joy and Gratitude Music Video and JOY e-book have been allocated to the nonprofit WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN: USING THE POWER OF FOOD TO HEAL AND EMPOWER COMMUNITIES AND STRENGTHEN ECONOMIES IN TIMES OF CRISIS AND BEYOND.
Innovation is not just sitting on your laurels; it’s a continuation of striving, creation, action and execution to make additional changes that add significant value. Professor at the University of Chicago’s Kellogg business school Joe Dwyer’s quote is most appropriate: “Innovation is the process of creating value by applying novel solutions to meaningful problems.”
Despite educational and societal improvements and attitudinal changes that have occurred with respect to people with learning and behavioral differences, negative societal judgment still exists. Doc White supports and advocates for the neurodiversity social justice movement whose goal is to increase acceptance and inclusion of all people while embracing neurological differences. Neurodiversity refers to the diversity of all people. Its position is that people experience and interact with the world around them in different ways. There isn’t a “right” way of thinking, learning, and behaving, nor are differences perceived as deficits. Unfortunately, neuro-divergent individuals are often penalized because they don’t communicate, look or act like others who are more neuro-typical. Their abilities are frequently contested. To recognize and appreciate the value of others regardless of dissimilarities, what we’re accustomed to and comfortable with is a powerful way to apply innovation to the human condition.
Addiction has increased over the last few years. Whether due to Covid, easier access to online betting, increased financial output for essentials or the day-to-day emotional and mental stress, people are upping their reliance on drugs, alcohol and more. As a certified life, leadership, spiritual, and business coach, and energy master teacher, Jo Anne incorporates different modalities to best serve individuals, families, couples, organizations and the leaders and entrepreneurs she works with. The goal is to cultivate their mental, physical, emotional health and spiritual health, enrich relationships including their relationship with self, develop and refine their gifts and talents, attain fulfillment, thrive and triumph.
