Our multidisciplinary experimental site—a real open-air laboratory—allows for realistic simulations of the response to the main hazards as well as the emergency situations experienced by responders. Such simulations and practical exercises enable us to reproduce the critical aspects of a risk or disaster while controlling the environment and the scenario so that we can experiment in a safe and risk-free setting. Thanks to this innovative technique, we can study, assess and model the knowledge, skills and competence of responders as well as the risks and consequences associated with various hazards and emergency response.

With the users as the central focus of the innovation process, we ensure that we meet their needs and expectations and work together with other partners when necessary.
