Founded in 1989, the Centre de développement des composites du Québec (CDCQ) is an applied research centre affiliated and integrated with the Cégep de Saint-Jérôme—the only college in Quebec offering a technical program in composite materials engineering. The CDCQ’s research facilities are adjacent to the CEGEP.
Our mission and vision
Through technical assistance, applied research and information dissemination services, we strive to increase the know-how and competitiveness of businesses in the value chain of the composite materials sector. Our vision is to strategically position our CCTT and establish ourselves as THE leader in composite materials in Quebec, to be known for our expertise in the field and to be recognized as a key player in industry.
A team of experts
The CDCQ provides technology transfer services to businesses in industry and conducts technology development and manufacturing process improvement projects to better meet market needs, and more specifically the needs of the composite materials sector. We are part of the CCTT Network and a member of Tech-Access Canada.
With our team of engineers, chemists and technicians, we bring our expertise to entrepreneurs to achieve innovative solutions that will allow them to improve their skills and thrive in a competitive environment.
Services and solutions
We offer a wide range of services and solutions, including research and development of materials, processes or equipment, process start-up, mould testing and characterization of materials or products. Laboratory tests are performed in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. We also offer technical support, prototyping and 3D printing services as well as customized training.
