But it’s the events—produced under the Bold Brands banner—that put the organization in a class of its own. It’s a distinctive mix of happenings, to be sure, broadly catering to the diverse population of North Florida and surrounding regions. Examples include the Wine & Trucks fall festival—a kind of foodie and wine-centric showcase of what is trending and delicious from the Jacksonville Florida culinary landscape—and other multiannual events including the Bruval Craft Beer Festival, Let Freedom Swing—Void’s Charity Golf Outing held every Memorial weekend, the Void Pro/Am Surf Contest at the Jacksonville Beach Pier, and Void’s Great American Sip N’ Slide, an Independence Day waterpark takeover that’s not to be missed year after year.

With milestones and ambitious plans on the horizon, 2019 looks to be a banner year for Bold Brands. In February, the company’s flagship publication, Void Magazine, celebrated its 100th issue with a special collector’s edition and a community-focused issue-release party. Meanwhile, with the purchase of a new
6,800-square-foot complex in Jacksonville Beach, an expansion is in the works. Aside from serving as the headquarters for Bold Brands’ marketing and publishing arms, the facility will also house a coffee roasting and retail operation, as well as a microbrewery and tasting room to go along with a brand new quarterly, beer-focused publication aimed at advancing and cultivating the region’s burgeoning craft beer scene and educating the public in the same collaborative, innovative, and positive manner adopted by Bold Brand’s current slate of print products.
