Bristol Media is the membership body combining Bristol’s creative sectors into a force for championing the region on the national and international stage.

About Bristol Media
Created in 2005, Bristol Media is a non-profit CIC and one of the largest creative networks in the UK. We are a membership organisation, whose purpose is to put Bristol on the map as a world-leading centre of creativity and innovation in order to inspire talented people to work in the region, as well as attract customers and drive growth.

We facilitate collaboration and help develop skills, support business growth and deliver events and opportunities for over 600 of our member companies within the creative industries.

A team of some of the city’s leading industry figures manages the organisation, each representing our members from the digital, advertising, animation, tech, design, marketing, PR, publishing, film and TV sectors.

We work in partnership with local industries to deliver projects:

  • Visualiser – an apprenticeship program in collaboration with Babbasa, Ujima Radio, Bristol City Council and Cirencester College.
  • Our City – our annual short film competition for Bristol’s young people to win £1000 by submitting a 90-second film that captures what makes our city the most creative, rebellious, diverse and pioneering place to be.
  • Ben Martin Apprentice Award (in association with Babbasa and the IPA) – opening the door to young people from all backgrounds to provide an opportunity to break into the creative industry. The winner attends SXSW along with a cohort of agency professionals and is offered paid internships with local agencies to support them in their future employability.
  • The CreaTech Manifesto (in association with TechSpark) – helping local politicians understand the industry by outlining how we can build on the vision to be a globally recognised region leading the combination of creative, culture and tech.

Membership benefits

By joining our membership community, individuals and organisations receive preferential rates for events, unlimited free job advertising on South West Creative Jobs, and can create a member profile in our online directory. We also offer a range of other discounts and special offers with local partners and suppliers, which can be claimed by showing the mobile membership card.
