A company with more than 50 years of experience in the areas of Engineering and Construction, which has the right people, the know-how and the experience to develop the vision of our clients, by idealizing and executing the most challenging projects.

In 1969, ZAGOPE was awarded its first project work: the Odivelas Dam, a project that shows the excellence of the work carried out and that became its business card for future quality projects.

In 1988, the company was acquired by the Brazilian group Andrade Gutierrez S. A., and its corporate name was changed. This acquisition resulted in the of the diversification of the type of projects the company executed, such as; metros, airports, tunnels, among others. Thus, in the years that followed, the company was able to consolidate its position in the national market of civil construction and public works.

From 2002 onwards, internationalization became a priority goal and the company sought to equip itself with the means to give substance to this strategy, which took place in 2005, when the company started to operate in the African and Asian markets.

Zagope is currently headquartered in Portugal, but has operations in the markets of Europe, Africa and Asia, having executed several emblematic project works in the course of its successful path. Complex engineering works, but with a simple purpose: to improve the quality of life of millions of people and contribute to the growth of cities and regions.

Today, Zagope reinvents itself without losing its identity. A solid company, with a vision set on the future, formed by a cohesive, dynamic and flexible team, with great innovative potential and the ability to act in all disciplines of civil construction and electromechanical assembly.
