The company was founded in Miami at a time when the tech industry was nonexistent, and the city itself wasn’t as developed as it is today. Robert started Social Mobile without any outside investment and led his startup without the mentorship or advisors that venture capital brings.
Initially envisioned as a consumer phone brand (devices had a dedicated button to launch a social networking app), Social Mobile faced heavy competition in the consumer phone market. In 2018, Robert decided to pivot and focus on the enterprise market instead, partnering with Google’s newly launched Android Enterprise team. This strategic shift laid the foundation for the company’s impressive rise as a leading provider of enterprise mobility solutions.

They are an IoT design firm that specializes in developing custom devices for the world’s biggest companies in all industries, including healthcare, transportation, retail, and defense.
