I’ve always believed that the next frontier of artificial intelligence isn’t about replacing humans — it’s about reconnecting us with the natural world.

At Flox, we’re building systems that use AI not to dominate nature, but to protect it. We train intelligent devices to detect, understand, and respond to wild animals in real time using species-specific sounds. It’s a new language of coexistence, built from the signals that wildlife has been using for millennia.

The idea started from a simple but powerful question: what if machines could interpret and respond to animal intent the same way we translate between human languages? Advances in generative AI and bio acoustics are making this possible. From elephants to bats, we now know that animals have complex communication systems — dialects, emotions, even names for one another. When we combine that knowledge with technology, we can prevent conflict instead of reacting to it.

I see this as the beginning of a paradigm shift — one where AI becomes a translator between humans and the rest of nature. Instead of using force, we can guide behavior through understanding. Instead of barriers and traps, we can use empathy and intelligence.

For me, innovation is meaningful only if it restores balance. The global challenges we face — climate change, biodiversity loss, resource competition — require more than new tools; they demand new relationships.

That’s what drives me and my team: creating technology that protects both human infrastructure and wildlife, so that planes fly safer, farms grow stronger, and ecosystems remain alive and thriving.

We call it AI that speaks with wildlife.

And this, to me, is what the future of coexistence looks like.
