Rodrigo Rodríguez-Novás is the Founder and CEO of NORDES Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in nearshoring, business management, fractional CFO & COO services, M&A, and project management. With over 20 years of progressive experience in
financial services, including financial control, strategic planning, business operations, and mergers & acquisitions, Rodrigo excels in team management and revenue growth.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, he is a cross-cultural communicator adept at collaborating across all organizational levels.
Rodrigo’s unique skill set is strengthened by his past as a competitive free diver and instructor with PFI, the industry’s leading agency. The ability to remain calm and focused in challenging underwater environments has translated seamlessly into his corporate endeavors, enabling him to excel under pressure, enhance problem-solving, mitigate crises, and keep the end goal in sight.
Academically, Rodrigo holds a double major in Economics and Finance from The University of Tampa, complemented by a double minor in Business Management and European Studies. He has garnered accolades such as the 2022 Adam Smith Society Award for Outstanding Student in Economics and The Wall Street Journal Achievement Award. Further enriching his knowledge, he completed coursework in International Political Economy & Politics of International Trade at The London School of Economics and pursued executive programs in Leadership at the University for Peace in Costa Rica and Mergers and Acquisitions at Wharton. Rodrigo is a certified Project Management
Practitioner (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and earned his MBA from EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey in June 2023.
Dedicated to continuous learning, Rodrigo actively served on the Alumni Board of The University of Tampa, and provides valuable coaching and mentorship to current students and fellow entrepreneurs. In 2020, he authored “INNOVATE® MIAMI”, a coffee
table book and AR collection showcasing Miami’s innovative ecosystem; he is currently working to publish “INNOVATE™ JALISCO”.
