Productique Québec is Cégep de Sherbrooke’s centre for technology transfer. Our mission is to improve productivity and drive innovation in businesses by promoting the development of knowledge and expertise in digital technologies and quantum technology applications.
When our centre was founded in 1986, our work mainly consisted in providing Quebec manufacturing SMEs with expert support in computer-assisted manufacturing technologies. Over the years, we have diversified our range of services, and in 2004, we launched an automated manufacturing laboratory—a mini-factory that has become our test bed for applied research in automated manufacturing and industrial data processing.
We then began to focus on information technology and production equipment connectivity to bring manufacturing intelligence to advanced manufacturing systems. A pioneer in Quebec in promoting the key principles of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we created a road map to Industry 4.0 for the Quebec government in 2016: Feuille de route Industrie 4.0.
Today we provide technical assistance, training and applied research services to companies in various sectors. Our wide-ranging expertise includes digital maturity audits, strategic planning, business intelligence, cloud collaboration tools, integrated management systems, for: enterprise resource planning, data valorization, and advanced and additive manufacturing.
What is more, we have added quantum technology applications to our portfolio. As a founding partner of the Quantum Innovation Zone, Productique Québec is now helping companies to add quantum components to their technology infrastructure, rolling out the supply chain for the quantum industry.
