ABOUT PARTNERSHIP 2030
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership 2030 is the Nashville region’s public-private economic development initiative dedicated to Middle Tennessee’s long-term economic prosperity. The Partnership was formed in 1990 to maintain and grow the Nashville region’s economy by creating jobs through relocating and expanding businesses, attracting and growing a talented and creative workforce, and developing and promoting quality of place and livability across the region.
Partnership 2030 is supported by more than 260 businesses and community investors committed to the success of the Nashville region. Their shared investment reflects a deep belief in the region’s prosperity and the importance of coordinated, forward-looking economic development.
REGIONAL COLLABORATION & BOLD INNOVATION
Following a year-long period of research and community input, Partnership 2030 engaged business, community, and economic development leaders across the region to shape the next 5-year strategy. The new plan focuses on three interconnected strategic drivers: community vitality, community character, and community mobility. Ultimately, economic development is about creating better opportunities for the people who call this region home.

BUILDING ON MOMENTUM
Partnership 2030 will build on the Nashville region’s momentum by targeting industries that reflect its strengths and future opportunities. Corporate operations, advanced manufacturing, health care, distribution and logistics, and music and entertainment continue to reshape the economy through technology and innovation. With Nashville among the fastest-growing tech markets and drawing billions in investment, focused development in these high-growth, wealth-generating sectors will diversify the economy, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen overall quality of life for residents.
What makes a region thrive? It’s the bold ideas, ingenuity, and teamwork of its people that fuel long-term progress and help communities adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS
The new Partnership 2030 regional economic development strategy maintains the course on priorities that will remain essential in the next five years:
- Community Vitality — embracing Nashville’s future as a leading technology hub and making housing more affordable.
- Community Mobility — making good jobs accessible to more people through education and workforce solutions and improving regional mobility and connectivity.
- Community Character — remaining good stewards of the region’s culture, advancing the growth of the creative class, and maintaining the vibrancy of the region’s urban core.

UNITED LEADERSHIP, SHARED COMMITMENT
“This strategy is an excellent reflection of what our region’s business and civic leaders do best—collaborate,” said Stephanie Coleman, President and CEO of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Partnership 2030 builds on a legacy of impressive results while setting bold goals for the future.
It’s a reminder that when we align vision with action, we can drive economic growth, expand opportunity, and strengthen the long-term competitiveness of our region.
”Partnership 2030 remains a united regional effort. The strategy is co-chaired by First Horizon Bank Central Region President Carol Yochem and Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Mayor Freddie O’Connell, with support from more than 260 investors across the 10-county region.
Partnership 2030 is more than a strategic plan—it is a bold commitment to shaping the future of our shared region.
