Montréal InVivo is a network for exchange, mobilization and collaboration in the life sciences and health technologies (LSHT) ecosystem. Founded in 2007 and headed by Frank Béraud since 2015, the mission of this non-profit organization is to advance and develop the LSHT cluster in the Montréal region by establishing a dialogue between the various stakeholders to strengthen the growth of the sector, its competitiveness and its profile.

Frank Béraud

The cluster is made up of nearly 600 organizations, including more than 150 research centres and groups, 80 subsidiaries of world-class companies and more than 36,930 well-paying jobs in the sector. It includes four universities and ranks number one in Canada for the number of research centres.

Montréal InVivo works continuously in collaboration with other stakeholders whose actions are complementary. It is a partner organization for all players, whether they are organizations or institutions involved in the economic development of the sector, provincially, nationally and internationally.

Known for its mobilizing strength, its voice as a privileged independent interlocutor for the public sector, as well as its ability to initiate and lead impactful projects for the development of the sector, Montréal InVivo is at once:

• The catalyst and promoter of innovative, forward-looking and high-impact projects to further develop the sector;
• The privileged independent interceder of the public authorities;
• A solid source of reference for the LSHT ecosystem.

Montréal InVivo oversees approximately 80% of Québec’s LSHT activities in a sector representing g approximately 1.6% of Québec’s GDP.

“I commend Montréal InVivo’s leadership in the life sciences ecosystem in Québec and Canada. Through its inclusive approach, it brings together both public and private stakeholders and contributes to the influence of this entire industry.” –
