By encouraging the Montreal-based startup—which specializes in artificial intelligence—Loto-Québec is helping to promote the creativity and know-how of local entrepreneurs. And the HookMotion team is certainly innovative and has a lot of potential. It is also actively contributing to the Québec economy by creating quality jobs.
The innovation teams at Loto-Québec and one of its subsidiaries, the Société des casinos du Québec, are all involved in this collaboration with the young entrepreneurs. The pooling of their complementary areas of expertise made it possible for HookMotion to create TableMotion, an innovative artificial intelligence solution for casinos that’s based on computer vision.
TableMotion allows for card games to be monitored by software in real time, via cameras that are already set up in gaming establishments. It can be used to detect fraud and/or errors at gaming tables. In addition, the data it safely collects helps optimize the gaming experience.
By updating surveillance tools in this way, TableMotion is a real asset in ensuring the integrity of games, and allows casinos to focus on customer satisfaction. A win-win partnership!.
