In 2012, Julia co-founded Compact Energy, launching Sundwich, Ukraine’s first brand and manufacturer of portable solar chargers of extraordinary capacity. In 2018, Julia founded New Age Lab in the United States to push the boundaries of 3D printing technology. Her team reengineered industrial 3D printers—and later developed their own—to produce flexible textiles, enabling the creation of seamless, zero-waste garments.That same year, Julia Daviy debuted the first-ever collection of sustainable 3D-printed clothing at New York Fashion Week. Pushing the Limits: 4D Printing, Circular 3D Printing Economy, and Digital Supply Chains
New Age Lab advanced pioneering directions in sustainable design, creating some of the first-ever 4D-printed clothing and a line of 3D-printed bags. Research behind these designs showcased promising environmental benefits—over 92% CO2 reduction, 99% less water usage, and 98% less waste—simply by switching from traditional manufacturing and animal leather to a digital supply chain and 3D printing.
Julia Daviy also introduced the first circular 3D-printed jewelry line in the United States, utilizing multiple recycling processes for precious materials. Her approach combined a large database of 3D-printable designs developed by New Age Lab and later expanded through Imageneria, where her work transformed how products are created and consumed. Imageneria, the first platform for digital delivery of physical goods, made distributed additive manufacturing viable for consumer tech and pioneered 3D-printable NFTs, exploring new ways.
The Sustainable Innovation Challenge
Building on her track record of creating pioneering solutions and innovations in clean energy and sustainable fashion, Julia launched the Sustainable Innovation Challenge in May 2023.
