When people ask me why I do what I do, my answer is simple: I build solutions that help our clients and partners win, protect, and increase security. My journey as an entrepreneur has always been shaped by real-world conflicts and the urgent need to innovate faster than the threats evolve. Our mission at Defsecintel is clear: to create a more secure world.
In 2008, during the war in Georgia, I saw firsthand how technology and resilience could make the difference between chaos and control. It was clear to me then that small, determined nations needed to think differently, to innovate out of necessity, and to create tools that level the playing field against larger adversaries. That lesson never left me.
In 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we had to act. We turned our border security focus to defence. We have been present from 2022. We deployed systems, listened to end-users, and learned directly from soldiers who needed solutions that worked immediately. Tried a lot, improved a lot, worked a lot. A continuous loop of improvement and development. That is why our technologies are not built on PowerPoint slides, but tested and proven in the harshest environments.
And in 2025, we are pushing forward with the (anti-)DroneWall—an initiative to protect the EU and NATO’s Eastern flank from hostile drones. This is not about walls that divide people. It is about a technological shield that protects societies, critical infrastructure, and democratic nations from persistent hybrid threats.
Looking back, I see three truths that define my path as an entrepreneur:
- Always start with the end-user. If the soldier, the border guard, or the operator cannot use your system in the field, you haven’t solved anything.
- Speed beats perfection. In conflict, “good enough, deployed today” saves lives. Perfect but late does not.
- Collaboration creates resilience. No single company or country can do it alone. True security comes from integrating the best solutions into one layered defence.
This is what drives me every day: turning innovation into impact, so that Europe and our partners are not only ready for today’s threats but one step ahead of tomorrow’s.
