Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) is an association of Estonian most innovative technology companies, it is a community that speaks for the innovation of the digital society.
It seems that our tech-sector is by its nature ahead of its time, with technology companies playing the role of pioneers. We believe that digital society is beneficial to all. Having that goal in mind, our sector has cooperated already for more than 30 years, we have also proudly served as a trusted partner to the Estonian government in building a resilient digital society. ITL is a non-governmental umbrella organization gathering all those innovative companies that are behind the groundbreaking e-governance story in Estonia.

Our vision is that by 2035 Estonia will be the front runner not only in public sector but also in private sector digitalization. To reach this goal, we are proactively working on: initiating public and private sector dialogue by representing technology sector common opinion; raising digital skills in Estonia through the education system, reskilling and upskilling programs, women empowerment in tech-sector and inclusion of foreign talents; and boosting the R&D and innovation capabilities and sharing our experience internationally.

We unite the best competences in the fields of e-governance, cybersecurity, smart mobility and industry digitalization. ITL protects the interests of the sector in the development of policies and regulations, we are a constructive partner for the public sector in the development of the information society, and support companies in the development of international partnerships. We bring together the unique experience of building a digital society in public-private partnerships and are happy to share it.

And for boosting our own companies and talents globally we are a member of Digital Europe, we have a strong partnership with Smart Africa, the Organisation of American States and with many more.
Today we can say that Estonia’s tech sector is showing some impressive growth figures: the number of our tech companies has grown from a few dozen to 10 000, the number of employees in our sector has increased from a few thousand to almost 40 000, and turnover has grown from a few million to a billion.

Acting as a community is our strength. And, we are always looking for like-minded partners with whom to build a secure digital future.
