Launched in 2006 by Jennifer Ferguson who comes with over 20 years’ experience as a fitness instructor and out of the need to find the perfect bra to keep up with her fun, active and energetic lifestyle; joined by her best friend Tina Thede after discovering she had a brain tumor on her inner ear, upon waking from brain surgery and learning this was benign, her first words uttered to Jennifer who was right by her side were “I want to be a part of Handful”.
Jody Filkins and Cary Goldberg both with their own personal cancer stories and life experiences make up the rest of the leadership team. With the loss of Jody’s mother to cancer and having her perspectives shift, resulting in a deep desire to make her work life revolve around her passion, she too joined Handful.
Cary a cancer survivor herself, learned about Handful from a neighbor and finally found the answer to her search for a bra that would work with her breast-less body and realizing that there were other modern, active, flat and fabulous survivors who might benefit from the Handful Bra, Cary enthusiastically went to work managing survivor relations.
