EUL supports start-ups in the field of high technology applied mainly to the following sectors: health; food and agriculture; the environment; education; sustainable consumer products; and services to individuals and businesses. EUL also participates in the development of the digital economy by providing coaching and support to businesses that develop innovative solutions and by participating in initiatives in the banking, insurance, actuarial, and smart contract sectors. EUL is also a member of the consortium of quantum incubators recognized by Québec’s ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’énergie.

At Université Laval, EUL joins forces with Eggenius from the Faculty of Science and Engineering as well as the Académie entrepreneuriale ULaval-CDPQ from the Faculty of Business Administration.

In addition, EUL serves as a gateway to Université Laval’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and plays a role as a facilitator within the entrepreneurial community. As such, EUL welcomes all individuals with an interest in entrepreneurship to join La Centrale – espace entrepreneuriale. EUL then makes every effort to guide these passionate, creative and engaged individuals toward the right resource and help them chart the right course.

EUL was founded on August 25, 1993 by Professor Emeritus Yvon Gasse. This prestigious project has now become a renowned university incubator. Every year, EUL assists over a hundred start-up businesses from various Université Laval faculties.

Thanks to the work of EUL and its invaluable partners, businesses that have received EUL assistance have been granted nearly $30M in financing in the last three years.

EUL aspires to be a world leader among university incubators, recognized for the excellence of its entrepreneurial coaching and support services that facilitate the start-up of businesses that create economic, social and environmental value. This ambition aligns with Université Laval’s responsible entrepreneurship initiative, which is recognized for its outstanding results in achieving sustainable development goals.
