CyberQuébec is one of 59 college centres for technology transfer (CCTT) in the Synchronex CCTT Network. As part of the Cégep de l’Outaouais, we offer a wide range of cybersecurity services to help SMEs meet the technological challenges of digital security and support the development of a skilled technical workforce. Our centre also provides organizations and businesses with various funding schemes for cybersecurity support, innovation and applied research projects, including the Synchronex Mon succès numérique (“My Digital Success”) program, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) Industrial Research Assistance Program, and the Natural
Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) College and Community Innovation Program.

In support of our research, training and business support activities, we began operating a cloud computing laboratory in 2022, thanks to financial support from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. The technologies used to run this state-of-the-art digital infrastructure are similar to those used in commercial cloud services (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.), enabling on-demand IT services to be created and deployed in a controlled, secure environment.

The laboratory is a valuable tool for educational or research institutions and businesses alike, as it offers our team and partners opportunities to develop a rich array of technological and educational activities. These include hands-on activities to simulate and test computer networks, study malware, develop cybersecurity detection and intervention models, plan cloud migration and develop specialized technical training in French.
