Connexion Laurentides is a not for profit organization founded in November 2018. As an acceleration and growth space for the greater Laurentians region, it has been led from its very beginning by a dedicated team, with its main objectives being to mobilize the entrepreneurial ecosystem actors in the Laurentians around innovation and to support companies in their acceleration, growth, and innovation projects.
Financially supported by the Quebec government, Desjardins Enterprises, the seven MRCs in the region, and the City of Mirabel, Connexion Laurentides’s role is to guide companies towards specialized innovation and business acceleration services, as well as to facilitate access to financing and grants for businesses of all sizes to improve their productivity, particularly through the integration of digital tools, but also through research and development.
Fostering collaboration and synergy
With its network that goes beyond regional borders, Connexion Laurentides works closely with the region’s economic development services to foster convergence, synergy, and collaboration for the benefit of innovation and local and regional economic development. Thus, Connexion Laurentides puts forward the collective intelligence of the territory to benefit companies from the best innovation practices, covering everything from ideation to market.
Multiplication of positive impacts
Connexion Laurentides also acts as a lever to multiply positive impacts on the territory. Thus, its actions are aimed at directing Laurentian companies to the right place, in addition to supporting the services offered by them directly. Connexion Laurentides can also act as an intermediary for regional projects and direct towards complementary training or services to what is done in the regional ecosystem
