FOR TODAY'S BIG THINKERS

As Featured In:

Founded in 2006, CIRADD has been a CCTT in innovative social practices since 2010, specializing in sustainable territorial development. The centre is located in Gaspésie and is a member of the Synchronex CCTT Network. Our mission is to help organizations, businesses and communities sustainably develop their environment through applied research and innovative strategies. We support our partners by providing services such as applied research, technical assistance, knowledge transfer activities, training and the Community Assistance Module (Module d’aide aux collectivités, or MAC).

Our approach is to respond to the concrete needs of local communities and stakeholders by promoting innovative collaborative practices, with our efforts focusing on four areas of research: land use and development, community vitality and well-being, adaptation to social and climate change, and sustainable recreation and tourism. As such, our multidisciplinary team works with various partners to achieve common goals and sustainable solutions through collaboration, based on the sharing of knowledge and expertise.

Affiliated with the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles, our CCTT also involves the college student community in scientific research projects, thus encouraging a critical mindset that will allow them to contribute to the development of the region and Quebec as a whole.

In recent years, we have expanded our network of partners in addition to working locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for the benefit of the student community as well as SMEs and organizations in Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine and throughout Quebec.

CIRADD: An ally at your side as you develop your territory responsibly!
