Headquartered in Charleston, SC, Catch specializes in the full talent attraction life cycle by sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates who are interview-ready, culturally-aligned, and ready to make an immediate impact.

Founded in 2015 by Christina Lock and Chad Norman, Catch was launched with a vision of building relationships, success, and legacy – not only with teammates, but with candidates, clients, and community as well. It’s through these purposeful and intentional relationships that Catch builds professionals’careers, clients’ companies, and the community’s empowerment.

Offering direct placement, contract-to-hire, and recruitment process outsourcing, Catch has helped grow many of South Carolina’s thriving technology companies like Blackbaud, CaseStatus, GoodUnited, and Apothesource. Though it has a strong presence in the Southeast, Catch has worked with many national-level enterprise clients such as Google, Red Hat, Equifax, AutoNation, and LendingTree.

Catch’s innovative candidate-first approach focuses on understanding the career needs of individuals in the workforce, and aligning their talent and skills with the growth plans of their clients. Catch takes pride in its ability to help candidates find their dream job, build their careers, and change their lives.

Through the extensive use of success profiles, personality assessments, coding challenges, and video screening, Catch takes pride in presenting fully-vetted, offer-ready candidates to its clients – they call this The Catch Effect. For its clients’ hiring managers and talent attraction teams, Catch provides the one thing none of them can get more of: Time. By greatly reducing the amount of time their clients spend vetting applications, screening candidates, and conducting interviews, Catch enables them to focus on the core mission and growth of their business.

All About Community

Creating relationships doesn’t stop with candidates and clients, as Catch focuses on community engagement throughout Charleston and beyond. In 2016, Catch launched Disrupt HR Charleston – a twice-a-year evening of innovative HR talks and networking. With over 15 events and hundreds of speakers, Disrupt HR has galvanized the HR community and connected its attendees with like-minded professionals and forward-looking ideas.

With a founding principle of “Give Back”, the entire Catch team is also focused on community development. Its leadership team is heavily involved with the Harbor Entrepreneur Center and Charleston Women in tech where they lead, coach, and mentor entrepreneurs on their journey. As a team, Catch volunteers regularly for the Charleston Food Bank, Charleston Animal Society, and East Cooper Community Outreach. In addition, it shares its expertise with the College of Charleston, The Citadel, and the Palmetto Society for Human Resource Management.

Serving the Mission

In 2020, Catch launched Catch Federal to help public sector organizations strategically acquire the top talent needed to support the mission of the war fighter. Through pre-award teaming and post-award recruiting, Catch has placed candidates that are building next generation systems for the U.S.Army, U.S. Marine Corp, U.S. Navy, and Department of Veterans Affairs. Bringing its unique candidate-first approach to the world of government contracting has enabled Catch Federal to draw professionals from the private sector to the public sector in a very competitive talent market.

As Catch enters its second decade, its mission to serve candidates, clients, and communities continues to grow, and its innovative vision to scale businesses through real relationships is clearer than ever. Positively impacting lives one relationship at a time will always be its purpose, and scaling companies will always be its passion.
