Blake Resnick, the founder and CEO of BRINC, started his engineering career at McLaren Automotive at 14. He later worked at Tesla Motors and DJI, the world’s largest drone company.

Growing up in Las Vegas, the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting deeply impacted Blake, leading him to focus on public safety technology. After meeting with the SWAT commander of Las Vegas Metro PD, he learned two critical details about the shooting: the shooter had a baby monitor camera and a weapons cache in his hotel room to ambush first responders. Additionally, it took over an hour for responders to reach the shooter due to confusion and false reports of multiple attacks.

Blake’s discussions about high-risk tactical situations led to the development of the BRINC Lemur, a drone that can gather information indoors without risking human lives. After refining the product with Vegas Metro SWAT in 2021, over 10% of SWAT teams in the country now use it to enter unsafe areas, communicate and de-escalate.

BRINC has since grown to be the largest public safety drone company in the world and the second-largest quadcopter maker in the United States, with over 110 employees and $82M raised from top investors, including Sam Altman.

In May 2024, BRINC launched Responder, the world’s first purpose-built 911 response drone ecosystem. Integrating with Station, a robotic charging nest, and LiveOps, BRINC’s web software, Responder is able to get eyes on an emergency in 70 seconds or less, provide emergency support, and assist in active shooter response. It features a 42-minute flight time, HD and thermal cameras, two-way audio, 4G LTE for live streaming, and the ability to deliver medical payloads.

BRINC prioritizes non-weaponized, life-saving technology with privacy and transparency, offering tools for data retention, usage logs, and community transparency portals.

All BRINC hardware is made in the USA and NDAA compliant, with LiveOps being CJIS compliant and storing data only in the USA. BRINC Safeguard makes adopting drone technology easy for agencies by offering the latest hardware, regulatory assistance, installation, maintenance, and more in a single, predictable budget line.

Motivated by tragedy, BRINC remains dedicated to developing new technology for first responders worldwide.
