Artenso—a French acronym for art and social engagement—strongly believes that culture can be a vehicle for economic and social development within communities. Affiliated with Montreal’s Cégep de Saint-Laurent, our CCTT boasts cross-disciplinary expertise in the fields of public policy, artistic practices, digital culture and social innovation. Our interdisciplinary team carries out applied research, training and consultancy activities for all those wishing to better define, understand, adapt and promote cultural initiatives for their public and citizens.
Since the CCTT’s foundation in 2018, we have brought our expertise to arts and culture organizations, municipalities and educational institutions to develop and conduct:
- research partnerships (artist residencies, music mediation);
- studies (cultural recreation, culture and socio-ecological transition, culture and francization);
- cultural policies and development plans (analysis, public consultations); and
- training and tools for cultural and digital mediation.
With our diverse background in the arts, management, sociology and communications, we can take a cross-disciplinary look at contemporary cultural development issues to provide our clients and partners with customized solutions that meet their targets and needs. It is important for them to develop methods based on local needs through cross-cutting approaches that combine culture with other fields of endeavour, such as urban planning or socio-ecological transition.
