Innovation Story

Though created in 2018, AQST already possesses proven intellectual property and ready-to-build designs for spacecraft, including both launch vehicles and unmanned orbital spacecraft. AQST is led by CEO, Founder and Chairman Arnaldo Soto Jr., former chairman and founder of the America’s Aerospace Summit Forum. The senior management team includes executives with in-depth international experience in aerospace, logistics, security, and risk management. AQST partners with organizations in aerospace and vertical industries. We have already partnered with some of Arizona’s leading aerospace programs with whom we share knowledge, projects and learning opportunities.

Our company is headquartered in Mesa, with manufacturing in Yuma, and a satellite office in Cape Canaveral, Florida, starting in 2019. Although we plan to expand throughout the country, we chose Arizona as a “home state” because of its space resilience, including clear skies and infrequency of natural disasters.

The state also has a robust business ecosystem with1,200-aerospace-related companies, several former military installations, ample space for manufacturing growth, excellent aerospace education, the biggest military equipment proving ground in the United States, and a strong talent pool of veterans, engineers and Ph.D.s.

The future is bright“… Great industries are not built by single participants. They’re not built by one company. Great industries are built by a multitude of companies and that is what’s going to happen in space.– – Jeff Bezos

“If Arizona has been able to transform the desert into paradise, and it has, just imagine what we can do in space,” says Soto.

Space, however, will realize its promise only when the industry can evolve beyond this present early stage and make getting to work in space almost as easy as getting on the internet.

And just as with the internet, the important thing is not the technology infrastructure but the astonishing things we can do with it.

We serve companies, educators, and government agencies. Whether you want to launch a payload, build a satellite, analyze data from someone else’s satellite, build a new spacecraft, or undertake a confidential project, we can help you get it done. We have established advanced manufacturing facilities for making satellites and spacecraft as well as a global presence for integrating services from around the world. If you have a need, we have the solution. If you have a business idea that involves space in any way, we have the platform or know who does.

Just as the internet lets anyone with a good idea start a business overnight, AQST Space Systems helps anyone with a good idea go right to work in space. Specifically, we offer launch services, orbital space systems, satellite constellation reusable unmanned spacecraft, advanced manufacturing, engineering services, and special project execution.

AQST’s capabilities are surprisingly vast, including satellite integration, satellite propulsion systems, rocket engines, non-toxic propellants, earth observation, security, orbital manufacturing, orbital laboratories, and data science management, including big data, AI and IoT. The company can also take on special projects in areas like systems testing, engineering, scientific research, mining, oil & energy, orbital debris removal, search and rescue, scientific research, and agro-space.
