As Canada’s AI Global Innovation Cluster, Scale AI acts as an investment and innovation hub to accelerate the adoption and rapid integration of artificial intelligence in supply chains with projects that have a high potential for our economy. Scale AI brings together the pillars of the pan-Canadian AI community, encouraging and funding collaborations between universities, industry players, start-ups and SMEs from coast to coast. Through our efforts, we foster the development of a world-class ecosystem. Based in Montreal and funded by the federal and Quebec governments, Scale AI has nearly 1,000 partners who are members of Canada’s AI ecosystem and has funded over 100 AI projects valued at $500 million.
Scale AI focuses on stimulating demand for AI by investing alongside industry partners in concrete AI projects, thereby reducing the risk of their investments. In parallel, we support the AI supply side, enabling start-ups to acquire their first customers and supporting SMEs that provide services and solutions in productizing their offerings, intellectual property (IP) literacy and its use for their growth. Scale AI’s ambition is to stimulate demand for AI while continuing to support initiatives that push the boundaries of existing AI applications to make Canada an attractive destination for the establishment and development of technology companies toward an economy powered by home-grown AI.
