Founded in 1999 at the request of the Cégep de Lévis, TransBIOTech is a college centre for biotech transfer that draws on the Cégep’s biotechnolog y and analytical chemistry technical programs. As a non-profit organization, we focus on demonstrating the efficacy and safety of natural active compounds for use in wellness products and of compounds use in therapeutic development.
TransBIOTech fosters innovation by bringing targeted expertise to companies in the life sciences sector and by contributing to training and knowledge transfer. Our CCTT is a leader in applied R & D and technical assistance for biotechnology companies. To carry out our research and preclinical trials, we operate a state-of-the-art life sciences research complex with an animal facility accredited by the Canadian Council on Animal Care.
Our team is committed to rapidly and efficiently managing projects involving various components of biotechnology, such as: immunology, inflammation, microbiology, oncology, pharmacokinetics, bioavailability, analytical biochemistry and toxicity, to name but a few.
Equally important, we promote technical training and knowledge transfer by introducing students and companies to emerging technologies, helping them navigate new technologies, use new equipment and adapt the technological solutions that best suit their specific operational needs.
